Derek is the owner and CEO of Hilltop Sports and is the driving force behind the overall direction of the business. He stays closely involved in purchasing, product selection, growth, and the decisions that shape what Hilltop becomes next. He also believes strongly in keeping Hilltop connected to the community it serves.
Ashley is the creative and community-focused side of Hilltop. She handles social media, helps plan events, and works with local organizations and community partners. Whether it’s promoting what’s happening in the store or helping organize the next Hilltop event, Ashley helps make sure Hilltop stays connected beyond its four walls.
Jon spends most of his time making sure the business keeps moving in the right direction. As COO, he oversees daily operations, technology, systems, projects, and plenty of the things customers may never see. If there’s a problem that needs solving, there’s a good chance Jon is involved. When he gets away from work, he enjoys fishing.
Nate is about as close to a true jack-of-all-trades as you can get. He can be found working firearms, receiving product, helping customers, or filling whatever gap needs to be filled that day. An Army veteran, Nate brings a practical approach to the job along with a genuine love of hunting and fishing.
Chad brings a deep knowledge of firearms and hunting to the Hilltop team. He spends much of his time helping customers in firearms and sales, but he is also one of those people who is willing to jump in wherever needed. Away from the store, Chad enjoys hunting and fishing and stays active in both his church and local community.
Rachel is one of the friendly faces customers are likely to see when they first walk into Hilltop. She works primarily at the front of the store, helping customers, keeping things organized, and making sure the day runs smoothly. She enjoys both hunting and fishing.
Cordell splits his time between archery and the front of the store, which means he gets to help with a little bit of everything. Whether he’s working with archery gear or helping someone find what they need on the sales floor, he’s always willing to lend a hand. Outside of Hilltop, Cordell enjoys hunting and fishing.
Milne is part of Hilltop’s firearms team. His interest in firearms carries over naturally into his work, where he enjoys helping customers sort through their options and find the right fit. When he isn’t at the store, Milne also enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors.
Cody is one of Hilltop’s go-to people when the conversation turns to trapping. A hunter, fisherman, and trapper himself, he brings firsthand outdoor experience to the sales floor. Cody also floats throughout the store as needed, making him a useful set of hands wherever the day takes him.
Connor works as an archery technician. Much of his time is spent helping customers get their bows set up, serviced, and ready for the woods. As someone who enjoys hunting and fishing himself, Connor understands how important it is for gear to be right when the season arrives.
Sam is one of the people responsible for keeping the operation organized behind the scenes. As Shipping and Receiving Manager, he helps manage incoming and outgoing product, assists with buying, and keeps a close eye on the accuracy of Hilltop’s inventory and product database. Sam is also an outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing.
Lelain wears several hats at Hilltop. He works as an archery technician, helps keep product stocked, assists customers at the front of the store, and jumps in wherever extra help is needed. He enjoys hunting and fishing when he’s not working.
If you’re looking for fishing gear, there’s a good chance you’ll run into Job. He works in sales and at the front of the store and especially enjoys helping customers in the fishing department. An angler himself, Job brings his own interest in fishing to the conversations he has with customers every day.
Rick brings a little bit of everything to the sales floor. With interests in trapping, hunting, and fishing, he can relate to customers across several different parts of the outdoor world. He works primarily at the front of the store and in sales, helping customers find what they need and keeping things moving.
Ryan leads Hilltop’s CPL and firearms training classes, walking students through everything from the legal side to time on the range. The rest of his time is spent in the firearms department, where his own interest in firearms and hunting gives him a solid background when helping customers compare equipment, accessories, and the options that best fit their needs.
Todd is one of Hilltop’s longest-serving team members. As the Archery Team Lead, he brings years of hands-on experience to bow setup, service, accessories, and helping customers prepare for hunting season. Todd is an avid bow hunter and fisherman, so archery is something he lives both at work and away from it.
Steve has spent a lot of time working on bows and helping archery customers get ready for the field. As an experienced archery technician, he brings a steady, hands-on approach to setup and service. When he isn’t working on archery equipment, Steve enjoys bow hunting and fishing.
Rick is one of the experienced technicians in the archery department. Over the years, he has helped countless customers with bow setup, adjustments, and service. A bow hunter and fisherman himself, Rick brings years of real-world outdoor experience to the job.
Brittney is one of those team members who seems to end up wherever she is needed most. She helps with receiving, works at the front of the store, and fills in throughout Hilltop when things get busy. She knows her way around the operation and isn’t afraid to jump in and help. Outside of work, Brittney enjoys hunting.
