2026 SMALL GAME COMPETITION

Join us for the Annual Small Game Competition — a one-day hunting challenge for teams of up to four (4) hunters.

 

Compete for top prizes in categories like Top 5 Heaviest Squirrels and Top 5 Heaviest Rabbits.

Want to raise the stakes? Enter optional side pot contests:

  • The Royal Flush

  • 3 of a Kind

 

Each side pot pays out 100%.

 

Wrap up the day at our awards ceremony with food and refreshments, where we’ll celebrate the winners and swap stories from the hunt. Don’t miss your chance to compete and take home great prizes!

1st - 3rd place prizes will be awarded for each species. We will weigh all of the animals in each species at once for a total weight.

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

  1. All Michigan DNR hunting rules apply.

  2. All participants must have a valid Michigan Hunting License with the appropriate endorsements or harvest tags for this competition.

  3. All participants must register before the contest begins.

  4. Only registered participants are eligible for prizes, awards, and the banquet.

  5. Maximum of 4 people per team.

  6. Participants agree to be bound by the start, stop, and check-in cutoff times of this contest and understand that animals will not be accepted past the cutoff time.

  7. All teams must be on property for the check-in by the cutoff time. You will still be allowed to weigh animals if you are here on time.

  8. Check-In / Weigh-In is between 2pm - 4pm on March 28th, 2026.

  9. Judges rulings are final. No exceptions.
