CONCEALED CARRY & HOME DEFENSE FUNDAMENTALS

Class Overview: This is a comprehensive, Michigan CPL–qualified training course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for lawful self-defense. If you’re new to handguns, you’ll get a clear, confidence-building foundation in safety, fundamentals, and decision-making—so you can protect yourself and your family responsibly.

After this Class: You’ll understand essential firearm safety, terminology, and how those fundamentals apply to home and self-defense—so you can make clearer, safer decisions during high-stress situations.
​
Michigan CPL Requirement: This training course satisfies MCL 28.425j (1927 PA 372, Sec. 5j)—a program of at least 8 hours total, including 3 hours of range time and a minimum of 30 rounds fired.

Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a Michigan CPL training certificate that’s ready to submit with your application to your local county clerk.

What to Expect: We start the class with a quick check-in and admin (paperwork), then do introductions and a legal/use-of-force video. From there, we move into guided classroom instruction covering the core CPL and self-defense fundamentals.
​
After a lunch break, you’ll travel to the range for approximately 3 hours of live-fire training. On the range, you’ll fire your handgun in 4–5 coached iterations from 2, 4, and 7 yards, with a minimum of 30 rounds.
Summary: Our goal is to teach safe, responsible firearm handling with clear, step-by-step instruction that builds real confidence.
